Horizon Connected TV Software Suite
Horizon is Ocean Blue's suite of Connected TV software products, offering advanced, fully integrated, digital TV capabilities. The Internet-on-TV function provides a comprehensive, interactive experience for the user wanting to benefit from TV together with a broadband connection.
Horizon Connected TV software will enable clients to produce set top boxes and iDTVs with full Connected TV functionality, allowing access to sites such as You Tube, Flickr and local catch up services; via a consistent User Interface (UI) and sitting alongside the linear broadcast.
The main components are modular and can be provided as standalone deliveries or can be fully integrated to provide a turnkey solution. Software integration can be undertaken by clients (with support and training from Ocean Blue) or directly by Ocean Blue.
The abstracted and unified UI allows for easy re-skinning of a product’s look and feel. Interfaces meeting Open IPTV Forum (OIPF) standards, HbbTV, QML and HTML-5 are to be made available; thus providing a very strong and adaptable toolkit that should meet the demands of most clients / graphical designers.
Browser Agnostic Connected TV Software
Ocean Blue’s Connected TV software is modular by design and includes our Sunrise DVB stack which is browser agnostic and already ported to work with ACCESS and Opera. It also includes our Horizon HbbTV and MHEG-5 browser, as well as Ocean Blue's CI Plus module.
Our Horizon connected TV software is constantly being developed and updated to meet a rapidly evolving market:
