Sunrise™ DVB Middleware
Sunrise is Ocean Blue's DVB family of software products, offering Free To Air (FTA) or Pay-per-view (PPV) functionality. It encompasses all the components required to provide clients with digital TV on a set top box or television. Developed to DVB and DTG D-book standards and written in ANSI C programming language, Sunrise is modular, hardware agnostic and comprises all the elements needed for digital TV devices for Satellite (DVB-S/S2,) Terrestrial (DVB-T/T2,) and Cable (DVB-C.)
Sunrise DVB can be provided as a standalone software product with a well defined API (Application programming Interface) for integration into third party software systems, or customers can opt for a turnkey solution by adding any of our other software modules as plug-ins.
Next Generation DVB HD Transmission
Sunrise provides comprehensive support for music, Video, TV, High Definition (HD), MPEG-4. H.264, images, text and the data necessary for both hybrid IPTV and HD receivers. It also provides support for conditional access and pay-per-view security systems. Sunrise supports every mode transmission and each can be supplied in isolation or as a combination (DVB-TH for example);

Sunrise Multi-CPU Support
Ocean Blue's Sunrise DVB software now supports multi-core CPUs and multi-tasking. The enhancement means Sunrise DVB is now capable of working as either the core of the system or as a plug-in module to a more complex, bus driven architecture, where there may be multiple presentation engines and other processes running alongside the DVB Core.

Support for Analogue and Digital Broadcasts
With the arrival of digital television, analogue broadcasts are gradually being phased out. However, Ocean Blue's Sunrise DVB allows channel tuning for analogue and digital to be accomplished through the same user interface, giving consumers a common look and feel across multiple broadcast mediums.
