| OCEAN BLUE SOFTWARE IBC 2009 PREVIEW |
Bristol - August 7, 2009STAND 5.A12 - Ocean Blue Software is marking this year's IBC with the unveiling of a number of its latest innovative solutions , most notably the software solution for the visually-impaired; Ocean Blue has developed set top box-based text-to-speech (TTS) technology in conjunction with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), targeted at those with differing forms of sight impairment. Ocean Blue created a consortium to develop an "accessible" digital TV product which turns on-screen text into speech, thus enabling set up menus, programming guides and on-screen prompts to be spoken to the user.
The RNIB/Ocean Blue technology will be available for demonstrations on the Ocean Blue stand at IBC, and a member of the RNIB team will also be available at the event for discussions and to answer any questions.
